Metal from Haiti
This Haitian metal art is crafted from recycled 55 gallon oil drums. The drums are rolled flat, hammered out, and patterns are then cut and sanded, then dipped in an anti-rust solution. They then hand-paint every piece and coat it with outdoor polyurethane. Every piece is absolutely stunning and no two pieces are alike! This metal art is the main staple of income for many villages throughout Haiti, and that is a wonderful story to tell.
